Last year, the Securities Exchange Commission brought a lawsuit against Ripple, in which it indicted the firm for selling unregistered securities in the form of the company's token, XRP. The company is defending itself, saying that is not true and pointing out that other cryptocurrencies like ethereum should also be considered securities if that is the case.

But the SEC maintains its allegations that XRP is a security and claims that Ripple sold the digital asset without proper clearance and therefore illegally. This news took a significant toll on the cryptocurrency, which dropped by almost 70% after the announcement. Although greatly affected by this news, the company has not allowed it to slow them down as they have continued with regular operations despite this setback.

Recently it was revealed that Ripple was reMarkets WY LLC’s status as a local business. The company was documented as "active" after its initial filing in February 2020.
Since they are signed up as a limited liability company in Wyoming, Ripple’s listed agent will be based in Cheyenne. But the company doesn't appear to be prepared to shift its headquarters to Wyoming as its central office is still listed as San Francisco.

Wyoming has been noted as one of the friendliest crypto states. Last year, the State Banking Board showed its approval of crypto activities in the state. It gave crypto exchange Kraken and Avanti an agreement to operate as a crypto-friendly bank in the state.

Caitlin Long, the CEO of digital bank Avanti Bank & Trust, recently tweeted about the juicy perks that crypto firms would enjoy in the state. She pointed out that the state has no corporate or franchise taxes and that cryptocurrencies are free from property and sales tax.

Bitcoin Cash (BCH) is the clear winner for the weekend, smashing new high levels !!!

Bitcoin remained at high levels, reaching $48,000. The high levels brought a new all-time high level during the weekend, touching $49,500 and correcting back at $48,000.
